Who I Am

My name is Megan Ruggiero and I am a Cleveland native. I came to yoga at a time when I felt completely disconnected from my body. After struggling with drug addiction, relationship issues and menstrual cycle dysfunction I began practicing yoga as a way to regulate my nervous system and stay grounded in my recovery.

What started as a survival tool became a daily ritual, and over time, it led me back to myself. I was working full time as a senior care provider and felt called to serve a wider community of people who had struggled like I had. I eventually enrolled in Yoga teacher training to find direction—but what I found was a purpose: to help others return to their bodies.

Today, I’m a yoga teacher and menstrual cycle wellness guide with over 900 hours of training in multiple disciplines. My method for healing contains techniques from multiple modalities including trauma sensitive yoga, meditation, female pelvic health literacy, menstrual cycle and hormonal regulation, somatic experiencing, Reiki, and sound healing. My work centers on reconnecting individuals and couples to the innate wisdom of their bodies through movement, education, and practical tools for healing.

My journey into menstrual health began when I noticed my own cycle becoming shorter, more painful, and harder to predict. Like many women, I was left without answers. Through research and cycle tracking, I discovered just how much the menstrual cycle influences everything from mood and sleep to energy, intimacy, and mental clarity. The deeper I explored, the more empowered I felt—because understanding my body changed everything. Of all the healing modalities I’ve worked with, menstrual cycle awareness and literacy has been the most impactful and life-changing.

Now, I support women and couples in learning to track their cycles, regulate their hormones, and explore fertility awareness-based methods—whether to avoid pregnancy, conceive, or simply feel more at home in their bodies. I work with women of all ages, especially those between 20–50 who are ready to live in rhythm with their cycles and reclaim their hormonal health.

My approach blends ancient healing practices with modern science. It’s not one-size-fits-all—instead, it’s practical and personalized. For some, it may be as simple as supplementation or daily lifestyle shifts. For others, it may involve a longer-term wellness plan with consistent check-ins. Whether you’re coming off hormonal birth control, trying to conceive, or just trying to understand your body better, my work is here to meet you where you are.

I believe the foundation of true freedom is body literacy—knowing how your body works and how to take care of it. When we understand our physiology, we become more autonomous, less dependent on medical systems that often overlook women’s needs, and more empowered to make choices that actually support our health and wholeness.
